Built out of frustration.

Recording a meeting properly used to take three tools, two subscriptions, and a bot sitting in the call.

Jotted exists because of hundreds of client meetings that went badly recorded.

The usual notetakers were the obvious place to start. They work, and some of them keep the video too. But a bot shows up in the participant list, and people talk differently once it does. Clients ask what it is. Sometimes their IT blocks it outright. And the recording lives on their servers, not yours. Stop paying and it goes with them.

Screen recording was the next attempt. That gave us a video file we actually owned, and usually a transcript with it. But a transcript is not a summary, and it is not a list of what everyone agreed to do. So the transcript went into a third tool to get the action items out.

That was three tools, two subscriptions, and part of every afternoon spent moving things between them.

The frustrating part was that none of them were bad. They were each missing something the others had. The notetakers wrote up the meeting properly but the recording stayed on their servers. The screen recorders gave you the file and left you to work out what happened in it.

Clients felt it too. They would dig through thin notes for a figure someone had quoted, or ask for a file to be resent because they remembered the deal differently. Nobody was being careless. The meeting itself, the one thing that could settle any of it, was rarely somewhere anyone could get to it.

So Jotted was built to do the whole job. It records the meeting straight from your desktop. The video, the audio, every word, saved on your own computer. No bot joins the call. When you hang up, the transcript, the summary and the action items are already written. One tool, one price, and the recording is yours to keep.

If you have ever finished a call and forgotten half of it by dinner, this is for you.
